Shit kids

Well I have yet more craptastic news from the world of Witt. Scott foot is showing signs of dying. The pulses have been very difficult to find and today I noticed a very, very bad looking spot of black dead/dying skin.
I'm not sure how long it's been there. It's in a spot that would be easy to miss. Vascular hasn't seen it yet because we've been down in IR waiting to get Scott's PICC (special IV) line placed.
Seriously kids this looks bad. I've seen icky stuff and let me tell you this is icky.

In non craptastic news we saw Allison one of my honorary sisters. Those of you that were around during our last visit might remember the Jagen (that looks spelled wrong to me - help me out Allison S.) family. Mrs. Jegen (trying to make it look right) was in SICU with Scott. Our lives followed similar paths for a long time here at RUSH. A great big Hello Hug and a big "WE LOVE YOU" to my second family. We've kept in contact but I've been so horrible and haven't yet contacted everyone I should contact. I'm lame.
Bring on the chips and salsa girls. And please, please don't forget the tequila.

We're back on 8 as previously reported. We will be changing rooms however, maybe today, maybe tomorrow. They don't like Scott too far from the nurses station. Gee I don't understand why. So we'll be moving to be closer to all the nurses as soon as a room becomes available.

Good times, good times.

Hi Scott and Brandi. Is the 8th floor ready for the menagerie ("a collection of live wild animals on exhibition"...a word in one of Andrew's books I had to look up) on Saturday? It's gonna be awesome. Scott, I know I said I wasn't going to miss the sushi party, but I don't know yet if Savannah is coming down to hang with Andrew and I. Tom is golfing in Alabama this weekend. Maybe we'll stop by for a bit and bring our favorite Dragon Rolls for everyone to try.
You guys have visitors tomorrow morning or early afternoon?

Thinking of you guys.

Kathy -Banana bread STAT. Delicious. More importantly get back to work. We're going to need you.
Ann- no planned visits. Would love to see you and sniff the kid anytime.

Waiting on vascular to look at the foot. Missed Dr. Jacobs by 10 minutes coming out of IR earlier. Patience, patience, patience.

A day in the life of Sara: of course funnier if present
So as you know we have ice to our eye balls. After a really crappy day at work (whole other story). I decide to take a nap. Sleeping away in my cozy bed. minding my own business. only to be woken by a huge crash. of course I jump startled. Brent comes in n checks on me of course asking crazy questions to a half awake person. He leaves n I quickly dose back off, only to be awaken again by an even worse crash. When I actually come to I am curled up in the bed, knees to my chest, arms over my head, lookin a lil funny considering nothing was really coming threw the ceiling. Gave Brent n the kids a good laugh. Glad they didn't have a camera.

More of Sara's day

The worst day of work in 2yrs...
To catch you up. i made the decision yesterday to leave early b4 we lost power because I did not want to pull all the cold items n place them in a refrigarated truck. no power lost yesterday.
So today at about 9 the power flickers a few times then boom it's gone. we have to place plastic over all cold items, trying to keep them cold of course. power comes back on we all cheer and take down the plastic, of course i say "I think we are jumping the gun on this." but management knows best so down it comes. An hour later back up it goes. Half hour later we are pulling n moving everything to back coolers, that are holding their temps. That is a lot of clearing of shelves, let me tell you. So I am supposed to leave at 2 and guess what happens at 1:16 to be exact? you got it, coolers start workin. So here we go putting everything back on the shelves. Was just informed a half hour ago coolers back down.
Crazy day at Wally world.
And that my great folks is a day in the life of Sara.

Sorry Scott i don't do jokes so you get boring stories.
